The CIC has a director, an Executive Management Committee (EMC), and a Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) working together to guide the CIC.
The members of the EMC provide advice and feedback on the proposed research areas and strategic directions of the CIC; champion research projects within their respective organizations and the industry at large; endorse research projects prior to their commencement; and periodically review the CIC’s progress in meeting its goals and expectations.
Members of the SAC help the CIC identify research gaps and areas that need to be investigated in construction research; screen initial research ideas and help shape proposed areas of research; evaluate research project proposals and make recommendations to the EMC for funding; monitor research progress on CIC funded projects; and champion, lead, and/or participate in research projects, education, and training initiatives.
Members of both Committees liaise and foster collaboration with industry partners, faculties at the University of Alberta
