CIC Executive Management Committee Meeting
The CIC’s EMC provides advice and feedback on proposed areas of research and provide direction to the CIC. LOIs that have been approved by the SAC move on to the EMC for final approval. PIs of proposed research projects can expect to hear back regarding acceptance, rejection, or suggested revisions to their LOIs in the weeks that follow as long as their LOI was submitted to the SAC meeting directly preceding each EMC meeting.
CIC Scientific Advisory Committee Meeting
Researchers who wish to submit LOIs to the CIC should remember to submit them a minimum of two weeks in advance of the CIC's SAC meetings. PIs who submit LOIs to the SAC should expect to hear back regarding acceptance, rejection, or suggestions for revisions in the weeks that follow the SAC meeting to which they submitted their LOI, and may be required to re-submit their revised versions to the SAC for further consideration before they can be forwarded to the Executive Management Committee for final review and potential approval.
